The Southco R4-05 "Rotary“ push-to-close cam latch is the latest member of our Southco portfolio and is convincing all along the line: sixty percent smaller than the leader up to now, it only takes up 14.2 x 20.7 mm space on the inside of the door. Within the housing, the tongue projects only minimally. Thanks to its high-strength materials, the Southco R4-05 with its corrosion-resistant surface treatment locks doors and flaps securely even under difficult conditions. To enable it to fulfil a wide range of requirements, the cam latch is offered in a single- and a two-stage version. The latter enjoys unusual safety features: for example, doors and flaps can be closed gently and quietly almost without vibration. Thanks to its well-thought-out functional principle and its compact design, the Southco R4-05 is suitable for a huge range of applications, from engine covers and storage compartments in buses, mobile homes, lorries and construction site vehicles to closing mechanisms in electronics and IT cabinets. In combination with Bowden trains and actuators from Southco they can also be optionally remote-controlled.
